Concept Evolution
The theory of process management had its origin in the quality movement, where was developed the notion of the process administration. In last century, organizations were centered on the product and were designed productions system to increment the productivity which focused on the increase in the number of goods and services, and the inspected of the final product was the quality practice.
If the enterprise delivered a defective product to the consumer, the common practice was to ask the next questions:
- Why did we produce a defective product?
- Why do we work in this way?
Moreover, the problem was simple; organizations wanted to inspect the products and not to make better goods.
Process Concept.
There are different definitions of the idea of Process. Some of these are, for example:
- A sequence of actions or a group of activities linked to transforming supplies in products or results with characteristics defined, adding value to comply with the requirements of the client.
- Systematic activities that use resources to transform entries in outputs.
- One or more activities, under control, which use resources for transform entries in outputs.
- It is an order of specifics events in time and place, with a beginning and end, with supplies or entries and outputs or results defined for a particular client or market.

Process Control
The process control is the method to compare some chosen variables to a specific values and tolerance conditions, for determining if the process and the product or service is in control and without fails. Every process generates quantitative data like long, weight, height, density, and so forth, which can use to analyze using statistical techniques and discover if there are variations. With this information, we can decide how to improve the process.
Process control allows ensuring the quality through the process, owing to, the quality control must be executed in the process and not at the end of it.
